2024-25 Batch Corrections

Batch institutional corrections via the Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) fuctionality will be deferred until the 2025-26 FAFSA cycle. This release is a placeholder for the 2024-25 version that we previously intended to be deliverd and used.

Previous to 2025, the signed fields were hardcoded in the export, so that the sign was managed. We no longer need to massage the data for ONLY signed fields. We now need to perform this for all fields. This is because the accepted format has changed. Previously, the format that was exported was 000001234 and -000001234. This format also matches the non-yr specific ecar file format that displays on the corrections screen. The new export format is 1234 and -1234 for the same fields above. No changes were made to the display of or handling of corrections online in Fnancier. No changes were made to the non-year specific ECAR file.

Export Changes

• The length of the export file expanded from 680 to 967
• Added Transaction UUID
• Added SSN
• Added First Name
• Added Last Name
• Removed Email Address
• Removed Parent Email Address
• Removed High School name
• Removed Pell ID
• Removed Assumptions
• Removed Overrides
• Removed Transmit Date

Import Changes

• The length of the import file expanded from 140 to 211
• Added Transaction UUID
• Added SSN
• First Name length is now 35
• Last Name length is now 35
• Removed Fed ID
• Removed FSA Code
• No longer sending any bad data back
• Error text legth is now 50
